We're excited to announce that we had a successful release of the following feature:
Non-credit Hours Display
Our Non-credit Hours Display feature is now available for all institutions using the Program Pathways Mapper. This enhancement affects maps with the following award types:
- Noncredit
- Certificate of Completion
- Certificate of Competency
This feature allows for Hours to display on maps, course cards, course lists and term totals instead of units for non-credit programs, providing a more accurate representation of non-credit coursework.
Key Improvements:
- Hours Display: Maps for non-credit programs now show hours instead of units on course cards and term totals
- Filtered Course Selection: When creating maps for non-credit award types, the course list will automatically filter to only show courses with 0 units
- Hours Calculation Logic: The system will display lecture hours by default. If no lecture hours are present, it will check for and display lab hours instead. If both lecture and lab hours are present, it will display the sum of both of those data points.
Important Note:
For schools with non-credit maps and programs, please ensure that:
- Lecture hours and/or Lab hours are present on all Noncredit courses
- Hours fields must be properly populated for accurate display and calculation of hours on course cards and map totals
- If neither Lecture nor Lab hours are specified, the Hours displayed will default to 0
These enhancements improve the usability of Program Pathways Mapper for non-credit programs and provide students with clearer educational journeys.
